    Description

    For sale is a vintage covered sugar bowl from Knowles China in the Greek Key pattern. The design features a simple classic border design of black Greek Key motif on a two toned body of cream and ivory; gold trim keeps it formal. The bowl has a footed base along with gold accented handles while the top has a swirl finial also with gold.  This timeless piece is an excellent choice to repurpose for contemporary use for display or little container.
    The approximate measurements are: Bowl: 4 1/2" wide, 6 1/4" including handle, 2 1/2" footed base and stands 2 1/2" high; Lid: 4 7/8" wide, 2 1/2" high; Combined height 4 7/8". By the imprint, this dish dates to 1950 but the pattern can be found in Montgomery Ward catalogs of the 1940s.
    Both of pieces of the covered dish are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is minimal shelf ware on the bottom and no wear observed to the gold trim. There is fine crazing over the entirety of the lid and dish (photographs 5 & 12)
