    Description

An interesting Vintage very HEAVY Glass Beer Pitcher w Handle.
one side is etched UNITED Steelworkers of America  Local Union 13,214 AFL CIO USA in a circle & outside of the circle is etched Glass Keeps it tasting good.
The other side is etched Rocky Mountain Polka Festival ROCK Springs, WY"  ( WYOMING)
Pitcher Measures 8.25" tall x almost 6" diameter at the top.
Vintage approx 1985 1986 which is when the polka festival began.  Lot of history here.  no reserve auction.
The Polka Festival takes place in wyoming & is a 3 day festival.
Hits like ''The Clarinet Polka,'' ''The
Pennsylvania Polka'' and the ''Beer Barrel Polka'' played over and over again in the course of a day, but there was more to the polka festival than the polka. Waltzes and fox trots provided musical texture, and some people even danced the Dutch Hop when they played the polka. ''The Dutch Hop is not the same as the polka,'' said one indignant Slovenian polka fan.
The organized festival begins early afternoon & continues until midnight
Rock spring is suited for polka festival because of its large community of ethnice who came after the railroad was built to mine coal.  The miners were from Czech, Wales, Germany, england Italy & scandinavia
This pitcher is a wonderful memory of the festival  Unique item & OOAK at auction.  perfect for a Beer collection.  The heaviness of this pitcher makes it unique & the etching on both sides shows the endorser of this polka festival.
