    West Baden Springs Hotel Vintage Postcard Main Entrance Arch Postmarked 1925. "West Baden Springs Carlsbad Of America" across the top of the arch with a small image of Sprudel. Title at the bottom of the card reads: Main Entrance, West Baden Springs Hotel, West Baden, Ind. Carlsbad Of America. Postmark is faint, Aug 2, 1925. Addressed to Mrs. Pearl Ansley in Ind. Harbor Ind.
    Also known as the Chicago Indianapolis and Louisville Railway, The Monon Route criss-crossed Indiana from Chicago to Indianapolis and from Michigan City to New Albany. The Monon disappeared in 1971 when it merged with the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. Well known for its Hoosier Hospitality and those Famous Monon Meals, you could ride the Monon to Purdue in Lafayette, Indiana University in Bloomington, to the big resort hotels in French Lick and West Baden or all the way south to the Ohio River, Louisville, and the Kentucky Derby.
